Ukulele Class for Beginners - Memorial Employees ONLY

Free

with Duncan Perry

Calendar Next available session starts Jan 6, 2022 at 6 pm, runs for 4 weeks

MaineHealth Works on Wellness (WOW) is excited to offer a four week Ukulele Class for Beginners.  Did you know, playing music is like exercise for the brain? It lowers blood pressure, increases memory capabilities and improves overall concentration.

The Memorial class begins on Thursday's, 1/6 from 6-7:30pm for 4 weeks (1/6, 1/13, 1/20, 1/27) via Zoom. You do not have to read music to take this course.  Loaner Ukulele's are available.

If you sign up for this class, we ask that you make the commitment for its entirety. If you are unable to attend this class or commit to all four sessions, please complete the MaineHealth Ukulele interest form for a future class. There will be other Uke classes within the 2022 calendar. Your ability to commit to all four sessions is essential and will maximize the benefit from this course.

Your instructor Duncan Perry, is an experienced ukulele teacher and former Trauma Intervention Program (TIP) volunteer, gets people excited about playing the ukulele by teaching essential skills using familiar songs. Check out the Maine 207 segment featuring the free ukulele lessons for our front line workers at MMC.
