Strengthening Your Blended Family

Click here to join this online Talkspace session.
Blended families are one of the most common family structures today. They’re also one of the most complex. Each family unit comes into this new blended family with their own unique set of expectations, rituals and bonds. The quality of relationships within your blended family are the biggest contributor to family well-being and cohesion, but relationships require effort to grow. In this class, your hosts will help you better understand the challenges blended families face and learn to navigate and strengthen relationships in your family. Once the therapist has guided you through exercises and personal reflections, they'll open up the class for questions. You'll be able to ask our therapist anything, anonymously. Note: your attendance is completely anonymous and there is no audio or video required to ask questions. Can't join live? That’s okay! Many people prefer to use on-demand videos. Everyone who signs up will gain access to the live video recording.

Your body image is the way you think, feel, and behave in regard to your physical appearance. It is completely unique to you and has developed over the course of your experiences. When positive body image is damaged, your relationship health is directly affected, too. Research shows that you can feel safe and comfortable in your physical body and enjoy greater intimacy with your partner. In this class, you’ll begin by mapping your body narrative. Then, you'll practice paying attention to your body cues, emotions and thoughts. Once the therapist has guided you through exercises and personal reflections, they'll open up the class for questions. You'll be able to ask our therapist anything, anonymously. Note: your attendance is completely anonymous and there is no audio or video required to ask questions. Can't join live? That’s okay!
