When you do this, you learn to self-soothe and to meet your child where they are. In this class, you and your partner will explore how to stay emotionally safe, calm, and grounded while you support your little ones in finding calm and safety. Your host, will guide you through exercises designed to build your regulation skills and reflect on the emotional state of your family. Depression is common and doesn't just affect the individual. It hugely impacts your partner and your relationship. But research resoundingly shows that there is hope. Part of managing your depression is becoming an expert on your depressive triggers, feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. When you understand the relationship between these parts of your experience, you can begin to influence them and positively reduce your symptoms. To help you achieve these goals, your host will start explaining how you can be students and experts on depression together and why information is important. They'll cover how depression distorts reality and how that affects your interactions. Once the therapist has guided you through exercises and personal reflections, they'll open up the class for questions. You'll be able to ask our therapist anything, anonymously. Note: your attendance is completely anonymous and there is no audio or video required to ask questions. Can't join live? That’s okay! Many people prefer to use on-demand videos.
