Anxiety hijacks your brain and your body. High levels of anxiety take us out of our present reality and leave us feeling detached, overwhelmed, and helpless. The good news is that anxiety is manageable. You have the power to calm your body, take control of your thoughts, and bring yourself back into your present reality. In this class, your host will guide you through practicing regulation techniques, breathing exercises, and exercising your ability to control your thoughts and influence your mood. Once the therapist has guided you through exercises and personal reflections, they'll open up the class for questions. You'll be able to ask our therapist anything, anonymously. Note: your attendance is completely anonymous and there is no audio or video required to ask questions.

Some parents are unable or unwilling to emotionally care for their children. Instead of being cared for, children in this position step into the role of emotionally caring for one or both parents. These children take on adult responsibilities and appear highly independent and mature. Unfortunately, this parentified role sets children up poorly for healthy relationships in adult life. As adults, these children find themselves taking responsibility for other peoples’ feelings and find it difficult to recognize their own feelings. In this class, your host will help you identify how this dynamic plays out in your relationship and they will walk alongside you as you learn to identify your own feelings and care for yourself in ways that no one did in the past. Once the therapist has guided you through exercises and personal reflections, they'll open up the class for questions. You'll be able to ask our therapist anything, anonymously.
